Another round of food night photos

It seems like it has been forever since I put some of these on here. Naturally, I have forgotten how the steps to post photos and link to them. I can't even remember if this is all of them. I need to be better organized.
Starting to many things and then not finishing them.

The night we watched Love and Monsters I made an Abzorbaloff's belly cake.

and now I can't figure out how I did this so I will have to try again.
At least I got one up.

Why is that? oh because i gots me a job! yay! what? in only 3 days?! yes, i am that awesome. well really jeanne is that awesome. my dear friend jeanne knew of an opening at her work and the same day i was laid off she was nice enough to pass along my resume. had an interview on friday and got a call yesterday about the job. it is admin stuff. a lot of what i was doing before, well the fun parts of what i was doing. it is so quiet in the office. that will be a welcomed change. the woman i will be working for directly is so nice. she likes harry potter too, so we can nerd it up! i don't think it will be scary and i may even make friends and jeanne will be there so i already have a friend and won't have to eat lunch outside in my car!
we won't have to sell our house and i won't have to start selling my blood and organs and i when i talk to people that i used to work with i can say i already have a job and that they can eat my poo. well, i won't say that because i am trying to be very big about all of this and now this just helps my case and proves that i am kinda a big deal (hahahaha) and that they are dumb. also totally did the "oh there is drama i must get a haircut" thing and i have been losing weight, so when i did go back into that place the other day everyone said i looked nice. you really can't tell i have lost any weight but i feel good about it so i was wearing a short sleeve shirt with confidence.
Revenge. bwahahahahaha
i am not even mad that i was totally sold out and now i will probably not have to light a crap bag on fire and put it on their porch. although if i ever see that judas i am going to give them a piece of my mind or a flaming bag of crap. must buy bags and eat more grapes....that sounds like i am still mad and going to be spending a lot of time in the bathroom.

um...does anyone know how to write a resume? never needed one before. but ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! i was laid off today! the economy stinks and the non profits are being hit hard. i am totally going with that as the reasoning behind this. i am loved by all, right? hahaha!
freaking out. i have already made calls on insurance and filed for unemployment. i am working on my resume and cover letters and i am going to need a nice suit or twin set or something. i am too fat and hate all my clothes. i can't wear the awful hobo shit i got away with before. i will have to make new friends and sit by myself at lunch or even worse out in my car! oh god. there are packages coming to the museum for me. nobody better take my mail order action figures.
why did we buy a house? that was such a bad idea!!! crapballs!

really though. it is for the best. there are jobs and what is probably not that much money to some is a lot to me because i did the math and i think i could have done about the same at like the mall. i liked my job though and i never ever would have left. i can't even imagine why it happened. there were way more likely candidates.

i can sleep in tomorrow i guess...

bored bored bored. not bored enough to leave my house or do anything other than what i really have to do, but it is cold and now there is snow and i have no money, so i have many excuses for my anti social behavior. i will blame all of those things, but really i don't know what is up. i don't even want to work on my craft projects. maybe it is because we have cable and working internet now. even with that all i do is read doctor who gossip and look at things to spend money on.

today my dad moved from hospital to the place where he will be doing physical therapy for at least 30 days. it is depressing and he is in the section with the people who are only there for a short while. maybe this is the huge kick in the pants he needs. it has been for me because i am starting weight watchers again tomorrow. it worked great the first time. i just got lazy. i have to take better care of myself and also i don't want anyone to refer to me as phil's fat wife and in my head they always do. i am not nuts at all.

i am off to look at all the things i should be doing around the house then i will probably take a nap.

Again, I keep forgetting to post these photos.
for the empty child/the doctor dances we made Rose's Union Jack t-shirt cookies.
I tried to make Dalek cupcakes like the lovely example on CraftyTardis, but they were wobbly and candy kept falling off of them and then I had to eat the candy. What a mess but we still watched Dalek.

Things have been a little off with the Holidays
I forgot to take pictures when we watched The Girl in the Fireplace and ate Cassoulet.
We got silly and made a Hello Kitty cake for New Earth in honor of the Sisters of Plenitude and ate fish and chips.

I have got to get these photos posted!

A few of my geekiest friends, my husband and I have started up Doctor Who nights. Where we eat and naturally watch Doctor Who. As if that wasn't enough work, every week we are trying to tie the food into that weeks episodes as best we can. Usually in the form of a dessert. For example...

It started with "The End of the World" and a Cassandra Jello cake

When watching "Aliens of London" have a Slitheen popcorn ball and eat chili dogs (they make ya gassy)

and when watching 'Dalek" eat Dalek pot pie...

We usually watch two or three episodes at a time. Desserts really are easier to come up with. I am just so proud of us!

I am not proud of Phil though because he is actually watching King of Queens and talking to me about Dune.

I really thought people would have been more excited at work. We are a pretty liberal bunch, but everyone was super crabby. What gives?!

I am finally starting to not be sick, but have not regained my sense of smell yet. I am a little scared that I used too much Afrin. I am sitting next to the litter box and nothing.

Off to find more gross things to sniff and watch a little Qi and enjoy Stephen Fry before bed. Seriously it is the best show. That is what I took away from my two weeks in England, television. It was cute we got a little routine while we were there and knew what night our programs were on. If anyone would like to borrow Qi or Celebrity Ding Dong let me know. Well actually you would need a region 2 dvd player, but it is worth it go buy one!

Yay! Ood! I am so proud of me!

I found an awesome beige hooded sweatshirt at old navy that already had some brown stitching and just tacked a whole lot of felt and fleece on to it. I try to use a hoodie as the base for all my halloween costumes.
It was fun to put together, just wish I could have worn it more. Naturally not one person knew who I was. It would have helped if Phil could have gone out with me because he was Ten for halloween. He had to work. Lame!

So, I am still figuring this thing out. At least now I have pretty colors. Still have the sinus infection that won't quit and that is making it hard for me to do anything other than sit on my butt, whine, and blow my nose. I also have not been able to reflect on our trip to the UK. That might be for the best because when my head does drain and my brain can function again I will miss it and get crabby about being back home. For now I will just enjoy the weird NyQuil induced dreams where I wake up thinking this hotel looks just like my house. Bummer.

I should go start making my hot dog mummies for the October 32nd Halloween party tonight. I am going to be an Ood. I am so proud of my costume. Maybe I will even wear it tomorrow night for the first Doctor Who Sunday we are hosting at our house. There is going to be a good size group coming over on Sunday nights for food and a few hours of Who. I am excited to make the desserts. I think instead of just a generic dessert every week I will make a Doctor Who inspired dessert and to make it more complicated I have decided that it should have to do specifically with the episodes we are viewing. So, we are starting with Series One and will probably get about two or three episodes in...hmm...I will post photos when I come up with something.

Every time I go to Adventure in Art I make a Doctor Who related piece. What should I make next? I probably should redo the Tardis. Maybe make some gifts? Hmm...I don't have many friends here that would appreciate a Dalek necklace.

ugh. i thought this would be easy like facebook or something, but i am totally confused. i really liked the cute icons and am using a lovely one from jj jule. how the frick do i credit someone when i don't know what i am doing. i just want to talk about cats and knitting. i feel really dumb right now. my head hurts.
